In 2015, after nearly 30 years in sales, Bill Collins decided to chase a dream – transforming the family’s beautiful 19-acre property into a haven for weddings. With the unwavering support of his wife Janet and daughter Kellie, Bill embarked on a remarkable journey.

For the Collins family, this wasn’t just an idea; it was a long-awaited vision coming to life. Bill poured his heart and soul into the project, spending nearly a year felling trees, shaping logs with his sawmill, and meticulously preparing the wood for construction. Through sheer determination, meticulous planning, and a commitment to excellence, the Collins family’s dream finally materialized as Hiwassee River Weddings and Events. Today, they’re filled with excitement, eager to witness countless couples celebrate their biggest day surrounded by the venue’s breathtaking beauty.

Leading the talented team at Hiwassee River Weddings is Sherry Clark, our dedicated Venue Manager. Kerri Glover, our Sales and Marketing Director, brings her expertise to help couples craft their dream wedding. Together, with a team of passionate staff, they orchestrate unforgettable wedding days.
